While we are out driving around running our errands, picking our children up from school or driving home from work, there are some emergency situations that can happen to keep us from getting home for a couple of hours. It was 108 degrees outside and I couldn't keep my vehicle running because it would have over-heated, so there I sat with my two boys ages 6 and 9 years old, roasting in the heat with nothing to drink, it was very uncomfortable to say the very least.

Chances are you are not going to be able to keep your vehicle running for very long to keep the heater on and when you have to turn your vehicle off it is going to get very cold. Children get bored very fast. Carrying video Games and cards are a good way to keep children entertained while you are waiting for emergency personnel to clear an accident or until someone comes to help you to get your vehicle back on the road so that you can get home.

You never know what is going to happen when you are out there driving, you can be detained by an accident up the road, or your vehicle can break down, and you are going to have to wait until the accident is cleared or for someone to come and help you get your vehicle back on the road. If you carry these essential items in your vehicle at all times, you and your children can wait it out comfortably.
